Course Highlights
This course is designed for 7th-9th grade students with basic Python programming knowledge. Through specific projects and diverse programming challenges, students will comprehensively improve their abilities in algorithmic thinking, data structures, logical reasoning, function application, and programming practice, further deepening their understanding and mastery of core programming skills. Python Intermediate Programming is also a prerequisite for Stellar Leap’s Bioinformatics research project.
Instructor Introduction
Charles is a computer science student at UC Berkeley and a USACO Gold division contestant since 8th grade. As Vice President of TeamsCode, he helped run global programming contests with IOI-level participants. He has conducted deep learning research at UCI and worked with NASA on using machine learning to detect exoplanets. Currently, he interns at an asset management firm applying generative AI to improve productivity. Charles is passionate about CS education and has led multiple lectures on algorithms and AI.
